How do I know if this is for me?

That's simple. Here are a few questions to ponder::

  • Are you a first-generation college student currently enrolled at an HBCU?

  • Looking for something to get into for summer that'll contribute to your continued success?

  • Ever feel like you're out here struggling and can benefit from knowing you've got people who'll have your back?

  • Interested in making some amazing connections with other dynamic HBCU First-Gens?

  • Value personal growth and believe investing in yourself is of utmost importance because you know nothing in you life changes unless you do?

How do I benefit from being a member?

The HBCU First-Gen Union™ is packed with 9 weeks of goodness. Here’s what you'll get:

  • Complimentary copy of the 27 Moments of Reflection journal for first-generation college students and a notebook from The First-Gen Shop™

  • LIVE weekly mentor sessions where you can ask valuable questions directly to get the help you need on the spot

  • Guest speakers who have been in your shoes and are eager to share knowledge to help you to be successful

  • Private online and close-knit community of like-minded individuals who lift each other up to achieve even higher

  • Resources, tools, and strategies to help you grow on every level

  • Exclusive members-only offers and more

  • When does the membership start and finish?

It's a 9-week program and access will be activated immediately. Membership ends once the 9 weeks are over.

  • What if I want to cancel my membership?

You can cancel at any time, however, there are no refunds. You will remain active until the program has ended.

  • What is the time commitment?

It varies. We meet at least once a week for mentor sessions lasting no more than 90 minutes. Times and dates are announced in advance.

  • Will there be pre-recordings and playback of meetings?

Live engagement is important to us. So, at this time, pre-recorded material and playbacks are not available. The intention of this group is to bring members together in real-time to be able to interact, learn, and share. Hence, participation/showing up for meetings is key to getting the most out of this membership.

  • Can I purchase a membership as a gift?

Of course! All you have to do is use that person's information (name and email address) at the checkout. When you're done signing up, they'll get an email and get immediate access to the program. We also advise using their last name as a temporary password that they can change once they have access to the account.

Hey, hey! I’m Dr. Evingerlean D. B. Hudson, affectionately known as Dr. Eve®, and I was raised in beautiful Charlotte, North Carolina by a single mother in a low-socioeconomic household. I went on to become a first-generation college graduate and even earned a Ph.D. at the age of 28. I'm a higher education professional turned Founder and Chief Strategist of Evingerlean Worldwide®—an entity created to empower first-generation scholars and graduates across the globe. Of many firsts that I’ve created, a few worth noting are: The First-Gen Lounge™, The First-Gen Shop™, and First-Generation University™. As an international speaker, podcast host, and author, I’ve touched thousands of lives through my work. A few of my past audiences include Cornell University, The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, The Ohio State University, 1vyG, Social Knowbility, Women Empower X, The United Negro College Fund, and National TRIO Programs. The First-Gen Lounge, the first and #1 podcast in the world for first-generation scholars and graduates, is closing in on 100k downloads across more than 90 countries. My publications have helped transform the lives of countless first-generation trailblazers. I'm excited to be a BlkWomenHustle's Inaugural 20 Women to Watch Honoree and highlighted as a Future Millennial Millionaire by Creating Your Seat at The Table International Magazine. I’ve been featured across several media outlets Voyage MIA, The Pedestal Project, and Minding My Black Business to name a few. Thank you for being here. I look forward to sharing this journey with you!
